RESIDENTIAL ASPHALT PAVING

Residential Paving — Driveways Done Right

Smooth, durable driveways for homes across Fredericton and Moncton — built on a properly prepped gravel base and graded to drain. From new installs to tear-out-and-replace, your driveway is paved by the same crew that quotes it.

DRIVEWAYS DONE

THE RIGHT WAY.

A driveway is only as good as what sits under it. We start with proper excavation and a well-built gravel base, then grade for positive drainage so water runs off instead of pooling. Every lift of asphalt is rolled and compacted while it is still hot, which is what gives a Hogan driveway its tight, even surface and long life.

The same crew that quotes your job is the one that shows up to pave it — no subcontractors, no surprises. Homeowners trust us because we build for the climate we live in: with New Brunswick's freeze-thaw cycles, a poorly prepped base will heave and crack within a few winters. Get the base and grading right, and the surface looks after itself.

OUR RESIDENTIAL PAVING WORK

NEW DRIVEWAY INSTALLS

Paving a brand-new driveway or a gravel one for the first time. We handle the excavation, base build, grading, and hot-mix asphalt from start to finish so you get a clean, durable surface ready for daily use.

DRIVEWAY REPLACEMENT & OVERLAY

If your existing driveway is cracked, sunken, or past its prime, we will tear it out and rebuild it — or lay a fresh overlay where the base is still sound. We assess what you have and recommend the option that actually lasts.

WALKWAYS & PARKING PADS

Asphalt walkways, garden paths, RV and trailer pads, and extra parking spaces. Smaller pours done with the same base prep and compaction as a full driveway, so the finish matches and the surface stays put.

BUILT FOR

NEW BRUNSWICK WINTERS.

Our hot-mix asphalt is specified for this province, not a milder climate. We use a mix and aggregate blend designed to flex with the ground as it freezes and thaws, which keeps the surface from cracking the way thin, under-built driveways tend to do after a hard Maritime winter.

Just as important is where the water goes. We grade every job to shed snowmelt and rain away from your home and off the driveway, and we pay attention to edges and transitions so ice does not get a foothold. Good drainage is the single biggest reason a driveway survives a decade of NB winters instead of failing in three.

RESIDENTIAL PAVING QUESTIONS

What affects the cost of paving my driveway?

The biggest factors are size, the condition of the existing base, how much excavation and grading is needed, and access for our equipment. A flat, straightforward rebuild costs less than a sloped driveway that needs drainage work. We give a clear written estimate after seeing the site — no guesswork.

How long should an asphalt driveway last?

A properly built asphalt driveway will typically last 20 years or more in New Brunswick when the base is done right and it is sealed periodically. The base prep and compaction we do up front are what determine that lifespan far more than the asphalt itself.

When is the best time of year to pave?

Late spring through early fall is ideal, since warm, dry conditions let the asphalt compact and cure properly. We pave throughout the New Brunswick season and book up quickly once summer arrives, so it pays to get on the schedule early.
