Family-run since 1989, Hogan Paving produces and supplies the base, sub-base and surfacing materials that hold up to New Brunswick winters. From the Fredericton head office to job sites around Moncton, we control the stone from the ground up.
Good pavement starts long before the asphalt arrives. It starts with the aggregate underneath it, and whether that stone was crushed and graded the way the job actually needs. When the base is wrong, no amount of surface work will save it, and you find out the hard way during the first spring thaw.
Because we crush our own material, we are not stuck guessing what showed up on the truck. We know the gradation, we know the source, and we can adjust it for the project in front of us, whether that is a residential driveway in Devon or a commercial lot off the Trans-Canada near Moncton.
That control is the whole point. It is the difference between hoping the base holds and knowing it will.
Properly graded granular for driveways, parking lots and road builds. The right blend compacts tight and drains well, so the ground underneath does its job instead of shifting when the frost lets go.
For larger projects we bring the crushing to you, turning pit-run, oversized rock or reclaimed material into usable, spec-graded aggregate without the haul-off and trucking costs of moving everything twice.
Clear stone, screened material and the finer fractions that finish a job cleanly. Tell us the application and we will supply the gradation that suits it rather than whatever happens to be in the yard.

New Brunswick puts aggregate through a brutal annual test. Water seeps into the base, freezes, expands, and pries everything apart, then thaws and does it again. Along the Saint John River valley and down through the Petitcodiac lowlands near Moncton, that cycle can run dozens of times in a single season.
Pavement that lasts here is built to drain and built to move with the ground without breaking up. That comes down to gradation and compaction at the base layer, which is exactly the part most people never see and most corners get cut.
We do not cut it. Controlling our own materials means the stone going into your sub-base is the stone we chose for the conditions, not a substitute that fails quietly two winters later.
Yes. We supply crushed gravel, base, sub-base and surfacing materials to contractors and property owners across the Fredericton and Moncton regions, whether or not we are doing the work on top.
We bring crushing equipment to your site and process material where it sits. On larger jobs that saves the cost and time of trucking material out, crushing it elsewhere, and hauling it back, and it lets us reuse rock and reclaimed material already on the property.
Tell us the application and we will match the material to it. Because we crush in-house, we can control and adjust the blend instead of supplying whatever is on hand, which matters most for base layers that have to survive NB frost.
