COMMERCIAL & MUNICIPAL PAVING

Parking Lot Paving

Built to Carry the Load

From a fresh build on raw ground to resurfacing a worn-out lot, we engineer parking areas that handle real commercial traffic and shrug off New Brunswick winters. Family-run in Fredericton and Moncton since 1989.

More Than

a Layer of Asphalt

A parking lot lives or dies on what you can't see. Loaded delivery trucks, plow blades, and our freeze-thaw cycles will find every weak spot in a thin or poorly drained build. We start at the sub-base and work up, so the surface you see is backed by a foundation that actually holds.

We pour over the site before a single load of gravel arrives: where water wants to go, how trucks will move through it, where the heavy axle loads land. Get those right and a lot stays smooth and crack-free for years instead of needing patches by the third spring.

Whether you run a strip plaza off Prospect Street in Fredericton or a busy retail lot near Champlain Place in Moncton, we size and build the lot for the traffic it'll actually see.

What Goes Into a Lot That Lasts

New Lot Construction & Base Work

Greenfield builds start with proper excavation, a graded and compacted sub-base, and a granular base sized for your traffic. We get the elevations and slopes right before the asphalt goes down, because nothing fixes a bad foundation after the fact.

Drainage & Catch Basins

Standing water is the fastest way to wreck a lot, especially once it freezes. We design positive slope to catch basins, set the basins to grade, and tie in drainage so meltwater and spring runoff move off the surface instead of soaking into the base.

Layout, Striping & Accessible Stalls

Once the asphalt cures we lay out an efficient traffic flow and stripe the lot, including code-compliant accessible stalls and access aisles with clear signage and markings, so your lot works for every customer who pulls in.

Mixes and Methods

Made for NB Winters

Our climate is hard on pavement. Water gets into the base, freezes, expands, and lifts the surface; come the thaw it all settles back unevenly. A lot built for a milder place simply won't survive it. We spec asphalt mixes and base depths for our conditions, not a generic template.

Compaction is where it's won. We compact each lift while it's at the right temperature so the mat is dense and tight, leaving fewer voids for water to invade. A well-compacted, well-drained lot can take the plows and the road salt that come with every Fredericton and Moncton winter.

And because we've been paving the same region since 1989, we know how the Saint John River valley and the Petitcodiac flats behave when the frost comes out of the ground each spring.

Parking Lot Paving Questions

How thick should a commercial parking lot be?

It depends on traffic. A lot that only sees cars needs less asphalt and base than one that takes loaded transport trucks or garbage and delivery vehicles. We assess your expected traffic and build the base and asphalt depth to match, rather than using a one-size-fits-all number.

Can you pave over our existing parking lot?

Sometimes. If the base is still sound and drainage is working, an overlay can be a cost-effective option. If the lot has deep cracking, drainage failure, or base problems, an overlay just hides the issue for a season. We'll tell you honestly which one your lot needs.

When is the best time to pave in New Brunswick?

Late spring through fall, once the frost is fully out of the ground and temperatures hold up for proper compaction. We book the season early because our paving window is short, so reaching out before summer gives you the best shot at the dates you want.
