COMMERCIAL PAVING

IN FREDERICTON.

Parking lots, loading areas and access roads built to take a Fredericton winter and the daily traffic that comes with running a business along the Vanier and Hanwell corridors. Family-run since 1990, with crews that know the ground here.

A LOCAL APPROACH

THAT HOLDS UP.

We are a family business that has been paving in and around Fredericton since 1990, and most of our commercial work comes from owners and property managers who have watched a neighbour’s lot we did still look sharp years later. We show up, we grade it right the first time, and we stand behind it.

Fredericton sits in the Saint John River valley, and that low ground holds water and frost in ways a one-size template never accounts for. A retail lot in Nashwaaksis drains differently than a warehouse pad out in Hanwell, so we look at each site before we quote — base depth, slope and the way meltwater actually moves — instead of pricing it blind.

This page is about our commercial work in the capital specifically. For the bigger picture of how we approach commercial jobs across the region, see our commercial paving overview, and for everything we offer in this city, visit the Fredericton hub.

BUILT FOR

NB FREEZE-THAW.

The real test for any commercial lot here is not July, it is the swing between thaw and hard freeze that runs from late fall into spring. Water works into a weak base, freezes, lifts the surface, and by April you have heaving, cracking and potholes right where the cars and trucks turn most.

We build against that from the bottom up: a properly compacted granular base, grading that pushes water off the surface and away from your building, and hot-mix asphalt laid at the right depth for the loads it will carry. A delivery lot taking loaded trucks in Silverwood gets a heavier spec than a customer parking area, and we plan crack sealing and seal coating so small problems get caught before another winter pries them open.

COMMERCIAL PAVING QUESTIONS

When can you pave a commercial lot in Fredericton?

Our paving season generally runs from spring, once the frost is fully out of the ground, through to the fall, since hot-mix asphalt needs warm, dry conditions to compact properly. In the river valley the low spots can hold frost a little longer in spring, so we time each job to the site. Reach out early and we will book you in before the busy stretch fills up.

Can you work around our business hours?

Yes. For active lots in places like Nashwaaksis or along the Hanwell corridor we routinely phase the work or run after hours and overnight so you keep access and parking open during the day. We walk the site with you first and plan the sequence around your traffic, not the other way around.
